Private Yoga Therapy sessions meet you where you are, and help guide you back to balance.

Yoga Therapy Sessions can:

Address Imbalances in the Physical Body: This might include getting out of physical pain, building strength, improving balance, recovery from an injury, or Postpartum recovery.

Address mental and emotional imbalances: including Anxiety, Depression and trauma, These sessions will include coaching on practices such as Meditation, Mantra and Breathwork (Pranayama).

Help Establish Self Care Routines: this would include determining the best practices for your individual health needs, and coaching on how to incorporate these practices into your daily life

In the Initial Intake Session, we will discuss your main Goals for Yoga Therapy, as well as gather a full medical history related to these goals. This is a time to share your health story and any other concerns.  I will listen deeply to discover the next best steps for your journey to lasting health.

For addressing physical issues, the intake session may include testing for muscle weakness and tightness, in order to determine & assign practices to address these issues.

Subsequent Yoga Therapy sessions always begin with a check in of goals and practices assigned in the previous session. Depending on your Goals for Yoga Therapy, our sessions may include learning physical postures (asana) for strength and flexibility. All sessions include coaching on how to incorporate these practices into your daily life.

Yoga Major uses a sliding scale model - making services available to all.

My sliding scale fees enable clients to receive high quality services at a price that won’t cause them stress or interfere with treatment.

  • Sliding scale means that people pay, within a range, what they are able to. My standard fee is $100/hour, however, my sliding scale extends down to $60/hour for those clients for which my standard fee is not feasible.

  • I choose to provide a sliding scale option so that I can offer my services to clients who need them without causing undo financial stress. Sliding scale presents its own challenges, however I feel that it is an important and ethical part of my practice.

  • In order to decide whether you should take advantage of my sliding scale fees, please take a look at the graphic below (still to come!), which outlines what type of financial needs, resources, and assets clients may have and thus, where they fall on the sliding scale fee schedule. I have a limited number of sliding scale spots at any given time, and I can only provide more when other clients opt to pay full price. Thus, if you have the financial resources, please consider paying full price for services. As your financial situation changes, please re-evaluate whether you need, or can come off, of the sliding scale.

I respect your privacy. When it comes to your personal information, I believe in transparency, not surprises. I will never share any of your personal information.

"I feel that Alexis is a natural healer especially when using her knowledge and skills as a yoga therapist. I felt that Alexis was very observant to not only my physical needs, but also emotional; her demeanor was warm and caring.....just what is needed in such a setting"
